Homemade Pumpkin Spice Creamer
I know I'm not alone in my love for all things pumpkin. It seems like the pumpkin laced menu comes earlier each year. But who's complaining? Not me! When I saw this recipe for Spiced Pumpkin Coffee Creamer in the October issue of BHG Magazine, I couldn't resist. It might not be calorie-free, but everyone now and then we all deserve a special treat. It only takes 10 minutes for you to skip your run to the nearest coffee shop and indulge at home. So much better! And, better yet we know all the ingredients in our drink.
2 cups heavy cream, 1/2 and 1/2, or dairy or non-dairy milk
1 14-oz can sweetened condensed milk
3 Tbsp. canned pumpkin
1 Tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1 Tsp. vanilla
In a large 1-qt. canning jar combine all of the ingredients. Seal. Store in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Shake before serving. Makes 3-1/2 cups. 54 calories per Tablespoon.
