Clear the Car Clutter
Sometimes a task just seems too large to tackle. Take for instance, my father's truck. I don't live close to my parents (I'm about half the country away); but when I came back to their home for a medical emergency, I was appalled when I peeked in my dad's truck. All I could think was "uugh". Not a mess I want to take on. So, I didn't. But my next visit, I decided it was time to tame the monster. My dad had the audacity to brag that his truck had never been cleaned. I told him that wasn't something worth bragging about.
Just like any other project, I first sorted thru the mess, creating piles of keep vs. toss, recycle, etc. Then all it took was a couple cleanings of the floor and upholstery to get rid of all the sticky and goo. After all, this was years of spilled food and drinks, not to mention other neglect. But, it wasn't really all that difficult. The hardest thing was starting. The good news is, once the truck was cleaned it was listed for sale and sold within a couple days for a higher profit than the neglected condition could have brought. I say "not bad for a days work".
