Humble Beginnings
Out of clutter, find simplicity. ~Albert Einstein~
Technology has forced us into a whirlwind of activity and it seems our lives and homes are in a constant state of chaos. So, STOP. Breathe. Just take a deep breath. Life is good. We are blessed. Let’s begin to make calm out of the chaos. And realize, it all doesn’t have to be done in a day. Start small. Walk into a room. If the room seems too big, start with a closet. If the closet seems too daunting a task, start with a shelf. Or a drawer. Or a counter.
1. Start small. Dig in. Take stock of what you have by removing it all.
2. Sort through it and separate.
Keep ONLY what you love or need.
Discard the excess. Outdated.Duplicates. Needs repair. Unnecessary for your life today.
3. Now, as you re-place the kept items, ponder:
Do I need drawer dividers?
Maybe a tray? Bins? Shelves? A cart? How can this best be displayed for efficiency and remain tidy?
Ask, “Do I need to eliminate more?”
You’re done! For now… Keep the momentum and follow steps 1-3 as needed. Drawer by drawer. Shelf by shelf. Closet by closet. And finally room by room.
