Merry Welcome to my blog page!

I am so excited to go through this journey with you.  As we go along this path, I plan to post on a frequent basis. I don't want you to get bored, but at the same time I also don't want to bombard you with postings.  Because to be honest, I'm kinda private.  A woman of few words.  But with that being said, my topics might range from the personal, to decorating, to my experience with recent services and purchases, all the way to general musings on life.  I do hope that you will want to come back for more!  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Multi-purpose Rooms

multi purpose room

A rainy Sunday. Makes us slow down a bit. So, I usually head out to walk Bogey first thing. Not today! Headed up to do an online indoor walk. It occurred to me during this trying time we are all facing, so many of us are making rooms in our house do double duty. And you know, our rooms can serve multiple functions while remaining tidy and cohesive. For example, my bonus room upstairs is themed whiskey room, but also serves as game room. My sideboard from @blisshomefurniture provides the perfect space to hold my board games. This has also become my room for fitness. I have a wicker trunk that I can store my fitness bands, weights, and such in. I even use the stair rail as a ballet barre. But I just got something that is gonna work even better as a barre. More to come on that...Will post when complete. This room also sometimes functions as an office when my daughter stays for a bit. The pub table works out perfect. A silver lining to the pandemic was I discovered so many great online workouts. Never thought to walk inside. My fave indoor walk is @walkathome🏃‍♀️ Who knew? 🤷‍♀️And for a workout I rediscovered some old school faves. I’m not calling these two gorgeous fitness enthusiasts old, but they’ve been around with me. @deniseaustin and @kathysmithfitness give such great and fun sessions. So glad I found their workouts again. And @kathysmithfitness also has great podcasts about all things health and wellness. And I have to say @kathysmithfitness you have such a fantastic voice to listen to. I also follow some previous instructors from gyms I’ve belonged to. @lifestylejules gives fun workouts and she is a bit younger so it’s a different vibe. A Tennessee local I like to follow is @erinopreaAnyhow, just wanted to share how I’ve made this workout from home thing work for me. So many great fitness buffs. And to demonstrate how a room can serve multiplefunctions.
