Merry Welcome to my blog page!

I am so excited to go through this journey with you.  As we go along this path, I plan to post on a frequent basis. I don't want you to get bored, but at the same time I also don't want to bombard you with postings.  Because to be honest, I'm kinda private.  A woman of few words.  But with that being said, my topics might range from the personal, to decorating, to my experience with recent services and purchases, all the way to general musings on life.  I do hope that you will want to come back for more!  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Give your Home the Wow Factor

It has almost been a year since I sold my home. I've been trying to decide what part of the country I want to live in. Do I keep my foot in California or go somewhere else? I've been so ready to get settled again and it was a toss-up between California or my home state of Indiana. I finally found a place and my offer was accepted on my new home. Believe it or not, I'm coming full circle and heading back to Indiana. Funny thing is my new street name is Circle Dr. How is that for serendipity? I haven't been back since I left after high school.

In my house search I saw so many homes and it hit me. You need to have at least one "Wow" factor in your home. It can be a room, a piece of the room, a light fixture, an accessory, your outdoor space, the possibilities are endless. But try to create one area that will create a buzz. In one of the homes I looked at this was their theatre room. I'm aware many homes now have theatre rooms and we all are accustomed to the reclining theatre seats in such rooms. However, this house had such a grand entrance to the theatre it certainly made me think about making an offer on the home. I couldn't take a picture because the selling agent was right on my heels. However, check out just a few examples of creativity that make you want that to be yours.
